So, a bit about my model-kitting past.

I've built mostly 'normal' kits. Planes, tanks, all that what. I love models for the hands-on stuff. Compared to say, video games. While video games can be fun (I have over 2000 hours in Fallout 4), models, I find are a better hobby for the actual physical thing you're building VS a few bites of data on some server that holds your score and achievements.

I like the process of figuring things out, especially when the instructions are crap. But then, I had crap instructions so much. :-) I guess there's the imagination of it all too. Imagining being the pilot of this machine. Or imagining the cinematic scene of the take coming over the hill or bursting through the hedgerows. Or being Maverick and kicking some bad guy ass in the skies.

I only recently got started, yes started, in WH40K. My friends aren't interested in playing. Mostly because of the cost and the time you need to put into painting. I'm ok with that. I can just build them, or perhaps, maybe find a group of others to play 40k with and still hang with my friends as I usually do.

I like the models. it's what I first noticed and what got me into 40k. Now, I'm thinking of paint schemes and histories for my (eventual) armies. I watch painting tutorials even through i don't have many minis and can't afford much. I watch BatReps and lore videos and all that.

So, my background comes from a modeler's background. Which will explain a few things in my posts as to why I did things the way I did them. I recently finished my first batch of Cadians. Things didn't quite turn out the way I expected, but that I'll explain my that post. But i did have fun. I haven't brush painted in many moons and actually found it nice.

Even though it will take me a while to get any army up to playing strength, I'm just gonna work at it as best I can. Hopefully, this blog will help me with all that. Maybe, you'll learn something new too. Or at least be entertained with my ramblings. Mostly this blog was created so I can have a place for showing my work.

So, hopefully, you'll like it. Gonna go now, happy Modeling.

Cheers!
