MS-06F/J ZAKU II (Part 003)

Stuff has been done.

i got the metallic parts painted. I sprayed Citadel Leadbelcher through my airbrush as a base. Of course, I left the heater on in the room and the finish was all speckly and rough. But, i left it. I clear coated it with a gloss ad then sprayed a very thin X-10 Gun metal. It came out fairly decent I think. Kindof like a metallic Nuln Oil.

Also, I got some of the parts that I previously painted but then had to sand down for puttying and such done. So no seam down the middle.

Mostly everything is painted and glossed for decals. So, mostly what i have left is the hands, the weapons, and the coils. I'm dreading those, so much sanding on itty bitty parts. But I think I've come up with a way I saw in a video. Basically taping a drill bit so the little rings will stick and then spinning the drill and using a sanding stick should take care of it. Provided the modeling gods are with me on this. :-/
