Set backs and progress.

So after getting many things painted, I found that some of them need to glues to other pieces, thereby, needing scrapping and gluing, and eventually...repainting. So, I thought I was going to be all clever and stuff. guess not.

I thought that many of the ends of the pieces would've ended on lines where you wouldn't be able to tell where the pieces ended and began. I guess not. It's not all that bad though, just a little set back.

So, i spent a lot of time scraping paint off where things would need gluing and putty. The molding for this kit is a bit old, but I've built kits from this time and never really noticed the wonky molding. Perhaps I wasn't so critical then. Probably.

But that's not all, I had it too warm in the room and the paint that I sprayed yesterday dried before it hit the part. So it gave most of them a really rough texture. That happens with me sometimes. So, I sanded down the paint on some of the parts that I worked on today and those I didn't get to, they get a bath in Simple Green. I have to repaint them anyways and a few of them have complex shapes that were going to be a pain to sand down. So a bath they get.

But for good things, I got the inner legs together, the knees, the back pack, and the inner torso and head. They need painting begor going to together with the rest. Yeah masking! But, there weren't huge mold lines to scrape or much flashing to clean up so that's a bonus I guess.

I'm gonna let the parts soak for a while and get back to it later. That's pretty much it for now, Cheers!
